About Me

My name's Ross Shepherd, I make films and music videos.

My graduation film 'The Kingdom of Shadows' (a 17min fantasy/drama) was shot on 16mm and I managed to get it screened in several international film festivals. At one of these, The Festival Of Fantastic Films 2005, 'Kingdom' won the Delta Film Award. It was an encouraging experience and it spurred me to keep trying to find ways of making movies.

Since then I've been making films and music videos, working with lots of actors and crews. I've had several films broadcast on television including primetime slots for 'Kingdom', 'Night Shift' and 'Missing Connection'. Sky and Cable channel 'Propeller TV' featured some of my work and conducted a television interview with me in 2006.

In 2007 I wrote/directed 'Net Friend' for the DVX User, online 'All Hallows Fest'. The film was a collaboration with Wilx, a brilliant composer/sound designer. We were pleasantly suprised when the finished film was awarded a special selection by the festival judges and voting online viewers.

I've got some music videos/promo pieces in the works at the moment, some of which feature motion graphics very strongly. Added to this I've been working on my first feature film for the last 7 months or so. After investing in broadcast quality equipment and teaming up with several trusted collaborators, this film is very much a labor of love. We're heavily in the production phase at the moment and we have high ambitions for the project once completed.
