'Heathen' logs part 3
It can be tough trying to make a film this way. Well, it is tough! Since my last log entry we've shot another hour or so, spread over 4 evenings in the last 2 weeks. Putting it like that it doesn't seem enough for 2 weeks worth, but trying to shoot dramatic scenes with lots of dialogue, without compromising, just isn't easy to do fast.
A few weeks ago things weren't looking too great as it seemed very difficult to find anyone with enough free time to record the dialogue alongside my filming. There have been a couple of scenes where I've been filming with one hand on the camera and the other on the boom! It wasn't easy, nor ideal. So I'm pleased to report the arrival of my good friend Jamie Tighe into the crew of 'Heathen'. Jamie has got us back on track with his booming, he's also providing a massive help with the producing side of things, really helping me out with a few of the locations we've got coming up.
This week we're halfway through a coupe of short scenes set at (lead female character) CHLOE's apartment. Once we're done here we'll be gearing up for a massive week of intensive shooting coming up.
