'Heathen' logs part 6
The last week has seen Amber wrap her scenes, leaving us one maybe two days of shooting with Tom. Jamie and I have been out grabbing some exteriors and transition shots when possible, and as I get further into the editing I may shoot some more of these. The last few scenes we've shot have been interesting, continuity as ever an issue as we've found ourselves jumping all around the time line of the film in order to get everything finished.
We also shot a sequence that wasn't in the original script or schedule recently. I thought it would be nice to get some slow motion shots of the main character to establish him to the audience in a short montage for the beginning of the film. We went out with Moog (www.peculiana.com) and his HVX camera (capable of shooting 50 fps) one weekend, it was a good day and we got plenty of nice shots.
As ever the post production work pushes onwards, still a long way to go but every day gives me a clearer picture of where the film is at and how things are shaping up.
